How to Clean Your Keyboard?

It’s natural to think about how to clean your keyboard as they become dirty and dusty over time. You can do it easily by following this step-by-step guide.

Equipment

  • Compressed air blower
  • Rubbing alcohol
  • Cotton buds
  • Microfibre cloth
  • Toothpicks
  • Cleaning slime or cleaning gel

Instructions

  • Turn the keyboard upside down to lose all the dirt that is stuck on the keycaps.
  • Use a compressed air blower at a 45-degree angle while pointing it at the keys and sweep the nozzle at the left-right motion using burst air. Keep the nozzle at least 1 inch high while blowing it from different angles.
  • Use a damp microfiber cloth or cotton buds to wipe down the keycaps and keyboard. Use rubbing alcohol to wipe around the keycaps. Wipe carefully and slowly between the keycaps and around the top and bottom to remove dust and grime.

  • You can use cleaning gel or gum to pick up dirt and dust by squeezing between the keys and suck up any crumby dirt or dirt it touches.
